(from OrlandoSentinel.com) – Former UCF quarterback Kyle Alden Israel was arrested Tuesday and charged with driving while under the influence, according to Orange County jail records. Israel, a University High graduate who led the Knights to the 2007 Conference USA championship, played professional football earlier this year in Germany. He returned to the Orlando area during the fall and worked as a color commentator for Bright House Sports Network. Israel was arrested in the university area by UCF police. He has posted bond and been released from the Orange County jail.

Sources tell Florida News Center that reporter/anchor Sean McDowell is out at Bright House Sports Network. So far there’s no word on why McDowell has departed the station or who if anyone will assume his position. Bright House Sports Network is a cable only channel for Bright House cable customers in Tampa and Orlando markets and provides sports coverage/shows/specials for Bay News 9 and Central Florida News 13.
