(from OrlandoSentinel.com) - WFTV-Channel 9 has been holding auditions for a male anchor. What’s up with that? “Bob Opsahl is going to retire sometime. It would behoove us to be ready,” news director Bob Jordan said. Those are words longtime Central Florida viewers may have trouble absorbing. When might Opsahl leave? “Not next year,” Jordan said. “As long as he’s going to be here for 2010, aren’t goobyes premature?” Well, yes. But this goodbye will be more difficult than most. Opsahl, who joined WFTV in 1978, has been the face of the ABC affiliate. Jordan added that he’s looking for a male anchor for the weekends — for now….Cont….
